A wastewater lift station is a critical piece of infrastructure included as part of your sanitary collection system. While most wastewater generated by households, businesses, and industries is collected and conveyed via gravity through large interceptor pipes, lift stations collect the wastewater at a low point in the collection network and pump it to a higher elevation to the next gravity line or to a treatment facility.

Most cities have a sewer department that is responsible for regular maintenance of the wastewater collection system. Lift stations require regular attention to ensure all components are functioning appropriately.

In the event of a lift station failure, by either a force main break, power outage, or pump failure, wastewater will collect in the lift station wet well and backup into the collection system. This could result in sewer backups into homes or cause wastewater to overflow from the lift station to the surrounding environment.

Wastewater lift stations are also susceptible to clogs from fats, oils, and grease (FOG) generated by restaurants and businesses, as well as “flushable’ rags from households and multi-unit residential buildings.

Wastewater lift stations can be a source of bad odors that become a nuisance to neighboring properties. The smelly gas from the collected sewage is also highly corrosive and can damage the wet well structure, the piping, and pumps over time.

Septic Tank Pumps

Each pump includes the tank being agitated or mixed to a slurry.  The solids will break down with the bacteria found in the tank.  This sludgy material will collect at the bottom of the tank.  Therefore, by agitating the tank, the solids are turned into a slurry.  This allows for the majority of the tank’s content to be removed.

Regular maintenance (every 3-5 years) will help your system remain in good working order.

Grease Trap Pumps

Routine pumping of commercial grease traps will help avoid strong odors and down time due to clogged grease traps or pipes.  Each grease pump will also include the tank be agitated. This allows for the majority of the grease to be removed from the tank.

Regular maintenance reduces FOG (Fats, Oils, Greased) being discharged into the municipal sewer system Call today and get your investment on a regular schedule.

Jetter Services

This service is performed to clean your sewer pipes through the use of high pressure water.  Jetting can cut through grease and debris in your sewer lines and may be the answer to sluggish flushing and draining problems.

Riser Installation

A septic tank riser is a large diameter concrete or plastic pipe that runs vertically from the pump-out openings or access ports at the top of a septic tank up to ground level. Risers come in various heights to bring any access port to grade. A lid fits securely on the top of the riser and sits flush with the ground, eliminating digging and searching. Because the riser (sometimes called an extension) extends from your tank opening to the lawn surface, it makes accessing your septic tank for pumping, other maintenance or inspections much easier!

Installation requires digging down to your septic tank lid or access port and fitting the riser to the opening. We’ll choose a riser that will extend to your lawn’s surface. When completed, we’ll fill the area surrounding the pipe with dirt and secure the lid on top. You’re welcome to plant grass or mulch around the top to make the lid blend into landscaping.
